           A day or two after the reporter attack, a man who introduced himself as Mr. Bannister came into my room, explaining that he was my recovery assistant or something along those lines. To me, it sounded like a fancy way of saying personal interrogator. He asked me to relate everything I knew to him, anything I could remember at all, including my experiences in the hospital. For some reason, I didn't trust him one bit. My gut told me not to say anything. I have no idea why, I don't think I had anything important I could have told him anyways, but I feigned stupidity.      As the girls neared the looming light brown masses, they resolved themselves into crumbling towers; eventually they were close enough to recognize there were four towers, ringing something.     "Why is it so dark in here? It feels like it's getting late already!" Emma was beginning to get a bit creeped out, the mist swirling off the looming pine trees sent a shiver down her spine.    "It's just the forest roof making it seem so dark, it'll probably open up soon, we just gotta keep following the path."      I woke up in the crater. Don't bother asking how I got there, I genuinely have no idea. I have no memory from before that moment, save for a white flash, a ringing in my ears, and searing pain running down my body.
